ERS Medical donates vehicle to Greenbank

ERS Medical has donated a vehicle to Greenbank, a Liverpool-based charity that provides sports, recreation, education and training opportunities for disabled people and the local community.

The vehicle will be used from the Greenbank Sports Academy and Greenbank College sites to assist with a wide range of activities including transporting disabled people, their wheelchairs and other equipment to and from events. It will also be used to transport students to venues to assist with their learning.

The vehicle was officially presented to Greenbank on 17 December by Stephen Sullivan for ERS Medical.

Gerry Kinsella, Greenbank’s Chief Executive, said, “The minibus will provide much needed support and enables disabled people to access sport and training opportunities. It is also used to transport specialist equipment such as sports wheelchairs to venues across Merseyside, where we deliver community sessions. We are extremely grateful to ERS Medical for their generosity.”

Stephen Sullivan from ERS Medical said, “We’re delighted to support the great work done by Greenbank. The wheelchair-friendly vehicle, previously used by ERS Medical to transport non-emergency patients, has been adapted to cater to Greenbank’s requirements by adding in more seating and brand new vehicle graphics.”

Stephen added, “Additionally, as Greenbank transport their “power hockey” chairs across the community enabling more disabled children to access the sport, the vehicle is perfectly suited to accommodate that too.”
