ERS Medical patient transport, like other healthcare workers across the world, are doing all they can to keep patients and themselves safe from COVID-19.
One of the key elements in the fight against COVID-19 is hand hygiene. We know its common sense and it works, but its importance can quickly be forgotten.
That is why as healthcare professionals we feel it is extremely important that we get behind the #safehands challenge and help raise awareness on World Hand Hygiene Day.
World Hand Hygiene Day
Every year, the World Health Organisation (WHO) sponsors World Hand Hygiene Day on May 5th to remind us that Clean Hands Count every day of the year…and in more ways, than we think.
This year the campaign will help reinforce the importance of hand washing and its part in preventing the spread of COVID-19 – Let us fight COVID-19 together!
Clean Hands protect against infection – How do we protect you…
ERS Medical provides approved hand sanitisers, although it is widely accepted that this is a fast and effective substitute to clean hands a good and thorough hand washing technique using soap and water, is by far the best method of trying to prevent the transmission of bacteria to our patients.
- Clean your hands regularly.
- Wash your hands with soap and water and dry them thoroughly.
- Use alcohol-based hand rub if you do not have immediate access to soap and water.
