Electric Car

ERS Medical’s futuristic vehicle starts 2013

2013 might seem like a date from science fiction to many and ERS Medical is adding to the futuristic feel by introducing an all-electric vehicle to its courier fleet.

Following the news in December 2012 that ERS Medical ordered its first ‘zero emissions’ vehicle, the specialist healthcare transport company can now reveal that it has been delivered. Over the next few weeks, ERS Medical will be working in partnership with the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust and Dalkia, the Trust’s energy partner, to formally launch this new electric vehicle. Hoped to be the first of many, the new addition will offer all the benefits of a combustion engine vehicle without the harmful emissions. The vehicle will be recharged using green energy, which is generated by Dalkia on the Royal Liverpool Hospital site.

ERS Medical comments, “Sustainability is high on our agenda for the future. To represent the launch of the new electric vehicle, we’ve got an exciting vehicle livery concept, so watch this space!”

The Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University Hospitals NHS Trust provides a world class service via hospitals that are recognised as those of choice for the people of Merseyside, Cheshire and beyond. Dalkia delivers comprehensive energy and utilities management services for a wide range of customers spanning the industry, healthcare and district heating sectors.
