ERS Medical goes above and beyond to support the West Suffolk, East Suffolk and North East Essex NHS Foundation Trust (ESNEFT) during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

ERS Medical provides healthcare courier services for the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust covering 3 hospitals and 194 GP surgeries. ERS Medical is responsible for the collection and distribution of samples, consumables, post, pharmaceuticals, CSSD and medical records across East Suffolk and North Essex.

ERS Medical, Mid Essex Hospital Services NHS Trust and Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group are working in partnership to improve patient flow through the A&E department and to maximise bed space on wards at Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford.

NHS Fife is one of the 14 regions of NHS Scotland and provides healthcare services to the area via a network of hospitals, general practitioners, dentists, opticians and pharmacies.

ERS Medical was the first contract provider change for NHS FIFE PCES since its inception in 2004 and provides ‘out of hours’ transport services. ERS Medical worked closely with NHS Fife to ensure the contract change was undertaken smoothly, with no disruption to service.

Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust was formed when Hampshire Partnership NHS FT and Hampshire Community Healthcare Trust merged in April 2011. As a result, the number of duplicated non-patient courier routes served by several in-house and private providers had increased. In addition, many of these routes were inherited and serviced by vehicles that were several years’ old and very carbon and fuel inefficient. ERS Medical has worked with the trust by managing its mail and courier requirements resulting in significant reductions in carbon emissions.

Logistics play a vital role in the smooth running of a modern health service.  ERS Medical are experts in the field and since the formation of the enlarged East Cheshire NHS Trust (ECT) on 1st April 2011 the specialist provider has been relied on to keep things moving while making savings for the Trust.

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

ERS Medical is the provider of courier services to Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.  The original service contract was in place when head of procurement Clive Mosby joined the Trust in 1996.  Since then successful re-tenders and an enviable reputation for doing the job right have seen ERS Medical (Intercare prior to merger) retain the contract on every occasion.
