Helping runners ‘Leg It’ for RNLI charity
ERS Medical was proud to donate medical cover for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) in Lancashire. An emergency ambulance and three crew members were on hand for the charity’s 3.5 mile ‘Leg It For Lifeboats’ fancy dress fun run between the Lytham and St. Annes lifeboat stations.
The all day event saw 180 runners compete raising over £2,500 for the charity. The ERS Medical team was led by paramedic Jason Banks and two trainee technicians. Thankfully, the day was without any serious casualties.
The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. It provides, on call, a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland, and a seasonal lifeguard service. www.rnli.org
