Managing Your Mental Wellbeing as a Keyworker
Key-workers are now more than ever under a lot of pressure, and with this pressure, stress can easily develop. That is why looking after your mental well-being is more important than ever before.
There are a lot of signs of stress such as racing heart, headaches, trouble sleeping, irritability, eating less or more to mention just a few.
If you are feeling stressed it is important to reach out to the people around you for support. Let people know how you are feeling and what the signs are so you can let them know how they can help you.
If you don’t know what is causing your stress, it might help to keep a ‘stress diary’ for a few weeks. It may help you to identify things that you may be able to change. Start by writing down when you feel stressed and include what happens just before or after you feel stressed. Identifying what is causing you to feel stressed can help you to have more control over your stress levels. (source Mental health UK)
