ERS Medical’s Mental Health Transport provides a National 24-hour, 365 days a year urgent response solution for the transportation of people who have a range of mental health disorders.
With over 20 years’ experience, we can ensure a professional, reliable, and compassionate service that manages vulnerable and challenging behaviour safely and with dignity and respect.
Our service of care is a cost-effective transport service tailored to meet the needs of the service user and commissioner.
Our Mental Health Team
With a commitment to providing an outstanding level of care we work in accordance with the Mental Health Act 2005 and the Mental Capacity Act 2019.
All our Mental Health transport staff are highly trained, DBS enhanced, have PMVA training and follow the 7c’s – Care, Compassion, Competence, Communication, Courage, Commitment and Consistency.
Our specialist mental health teams consist of healthcare assistants, registered mental health nurses and escorts with expertise in areas including learning difficulties/disability, autism & Asperger’s, dementia, child & adolescent mental health, and older adult care.

Working in partnership with over 40 NHS Trusts, Mental Health Trusts, CCGs, CSUs and private hospitals, we are committed to understanding each patient’s needs and delivering high standards of care to patients with a wide range of mental health illnesses.
ERS Medical has extensive experience in providing a variety of secure transfers throughout the UK for adults, children, and adolescents with mental health illness.
Our transfer journeys include:
- High secure/Medium secure/Low secure psychiatric settings
- Court escort and attendance for hearings including transfers to and from prisons and courts
- Police stations,
- A&E departments,
- 136 suites
- Outpatient appointments
