Successful launch of courier contract in Norfolk
We’re pleased to share that we have been awarded a 5-year contract to provide a courier service out of Hellesden Hospital by the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT). We launched the new service in July 2020 following a short 4-week mobilisation period. Operating from the ERS Medical site in Norwich, we will cover four routes across Norfolk, Monday to Friday. The service will provide the secure collection and delivery of mail, equipment, and medicines to over 30 locations.
Hayley Biscoe, Contract Manager at the Trust said, “With a tight timeline, ERS were proactive, professional and provided reassurance that all elements of the mobilisation were well in hand. We are grateful for the speed and attention to detail paid in mobilising our contract. With a detailed and impressive tender submission, we look forward to collaboratively working together over the coming months.”
Courier services
Thirteen trusts use our dedicated courier service, which is a next-day or often a same-day service to the UK healthcare sector. It includes the secure collection and delivery of pathological specimens, EBME, sterile equipment for CSSDs, internal mail, and confidential medical records. We help our customers manage stock levels and provide timely replenishment to depots, hospitals and trusts.
Commenting on the launch of courier contract in Norfolk, our Senior Operations Manager for the East, Nigel Briggs, commented, “We are delighted to have been awarded the contract.
